Traditional Holter Monitor

Description: Portable device that records a patient’s heart activity (ECG) over a 24 or 48-hour period. Typically used to detect irregular heart rhythms that may not be captured during a standard ECG in a doctor's office. Patients wear the device while going about their normal activities.

Extended Monitoring Devices

Description: Small, discreet wearable device that continuously monitors heart activity (ECG) for up to 14 days. Patients can go about their daily activities while wearing the patch. After the wear period, the patch is returned for analysis, providing comprehensive data to assist in diagnosing heart conditions.

  • Suitable for patients with sensitive skin, as it includes multiple patches that can be changed if needed.
  • Ideal for patients who may need to temporarily remove the patch during certain activities.
  • Provides continuous monitoring of heart rhythms for up to 14 days but may require extra handling due to patch replacements.
  • Offers a Flex adapter as an alternative to the patch, which only uses 2 electrodes, but it is not water-resistant.

  • The same codes should be used to mail a device home.

Continuous Monitoring Devices

Description: Advanced wearable cardiac monitor that tracks heart activity (ECG) for up to 14 days (or 30 days). It transmits data periodically via a cellular connection, allowing for timely detection of irregular heart rhythms, such as arrhythmias. Patients can wear the patch during normal activities.
